Markets in Asia will open without clear direction on Thursday after the first speech of President-elect Trump.
ASX 200 was up 0.3 per cent within the first half-hour of trade, while futures tip the Nikkei 225 to fall 0.1 per cent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng to slide 0.2 per cent lower.
Over at Wall Street, the Dow Jones industrial average finished up 0.5 percent to 19,954.28, while the S&P 500 closed 0.28 percent higher at 2,275.32. The Nasdaq composite added 0.21 percent to close at 5,563.65.
