The start of the market during the Asian session will be positive as indicated by the futures, at least at the opening. After that we may see lower prices if investors continue to stress over the situation with North Korea. The futures of the US indices also opened higher.

The price of Oil is around $48.75 per barrel, slightly lower, which may have a negative impact on the indices if the situation remain. The USD is slightly up and the Euro opened lower in the beginning of the currency trading session. Gold opened lower during the session overnight around $1,288.80, as also the Silver at $17.090.

During the night session we expect retail sales from New Zealand, Speech from Kent from Australia, the GBP from Japan and the Industrial production from China. If the data is better than expected this will lift the AUD and NZD. Better than expected data from Japan will also support the JPY, which was trading lower at the start of the Asian session.

Nikkei will open around 19,470, as for the ASX 200 higher around 5,708.
