Asia markets are likely to come under pressure on Thursday with shares of Japan's Takata in focus and after South Korea cut its 2017 growth forecasts and following a lower close in the U.S.
Nikkei futures in Chicago traded 0.06 percent lower at 19390, ASX 200 slipped at the open, down 0.26 percent.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, last traded at 103.24
U.S. crude futures were last trading down 0.87 percent at $53.59 per barrel.
