German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Tuesday her government is waiting to hear the position of the new Greek government, declining to comment on proposals voiced by Greece's new leaders in the media on restructuring the country's debt load.
"It's clear that the Greek government is working out its positions, that's understandable, we'll wait for their proposals and then go into talks," Ms. Merkel told journalists on Tuesday.
