US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin expressed a positive attitude to the state of trade talks between the US and China, saying talks have so far brought tangible benefits to both sides.
"I think we have made significant progress and we are aware that each country will fulfill its obligations," Munchin said.
"We came up with a very comprehensive framework agreement that has to be fulfilled, but there are many different aspects," he said.
The reaction - a pogrom for gold and strong support from key levels for the indices. USD also registered an increase, with the EUR/USD movement being most noticeable.
From here, both technically and fundamentally, it seems that global stock markets will take up.
