Shares in Asia rose this morning after a record-breaking Wall Street closure.
Assets in Japan led to profits in the region. The Nikkei 225 jumped about 2%, with Softbank Group's shares up 2.5%, while Topix gained 1.74%. Both indexes are on track to record their highest closing for 2019.
In China, the picture is the same. Shanghai composite is 0.68% up, Shenzhen composite added 0.419%. In Hong Kong, Hang Seng is 0.53% above its opening levels.
A report in China has shown that the service sector has slowed its activity to 8 months low. Caixin / Markit services Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for October was at 51.1 - its lowest reading since February. Zone 50 separates expansion shrinkage in the interpretation of PMI.
At the same time, the ASX 200 in Australia rose 0.13%. The move came as the country's central bank kept the base rate unchanged at 0.75%, as expected.
