The indices during the Asian session are lower. The futures of the American indices are up slightly. The difficult situation around North Korea prompt discussions around several proposals for missile defence systems. Investors are awaiting data from NFP today and remain cautious. Major Australian banks declined in early trade after Commonwealth Bank was accused of breaching money laundering laws. The financial sub-sector down by -0.66%, as the banks shares trade lower by -2.88%.
Crude oil holds to its gains and remains at around $49.00 and this should help the indices. The JPY is loosing strength as USD/JPY trades up slight to 110.100. The Aussie remains stronger than the rest of the currencies. The Euro falls slightly. The GBP remains stable. The Philippines peso trades with most gains as the market in Vietnam is mostly higher by 0.3%. Gold remains subdued around $1,268.
