More than one million people have signed an online petition, pleading the government to cancel Brexit.
Whatever she hoped Theresa May would, even blaming her ombudsmen in blocking the Brexit process on her side, she would hardly expect the support of business and celebrities in the UK.
Parliament's website with the petition has stopped working a few times at the peak of signatures. People such as Annie Lennox, Hugh Grant, Brian Cox and David Mitchell encouraged their fans and followers to vote for Brexit's cancellation. Through the social media, the petition managed to reach millions and collect the enormous amount of signatures for a short time.
Any petition, with over 100,000 signatures, can be seen in Parliament. People in color world have joined. There are signatures from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, which suggests that not all of the signatories are British citizens.
