Positive start of the Asian markets today: 17.08.2017

The start of the Asian session is expected to be positive today, at least in the beginning. After that we might see lower prices if the investors continue to worry about the geo-political situation with North Korea. The futures of the American indices are slightly lower now.

The price of Oil is trading at $47.00 per barrel and its possible that the bearish trend will continue and this might have a negative impact on stock indices. The USD was sold-off after the meeting minutes from the FED, as the members of the bank forecast that the inflation will stay below 2% for longer period of time. The Euro jumped higher and reached $1.1770 again and we expect that it will continue to go higher. Gold price increased during the American session, reaching $1,285, as also Silver went up to $17.10.

During the Asian session we expect the PPI from New Zealand, Unemployment rate from Australia and the trade balance data from Japan. If the data is better from Australia, then we might see higher prices of the  AUD and NZD. Better data from Japan will also support the JPY, as it loss ground during the American trading session.

Nikkei will open around 19,717, as for the ASX 200 higher around 5,800.
