In the Forex markets, the yen remains relatively weak as USD / JPY hangs around levels at 106.53, with bond and stock sentiment likely to continue to depress the yen during the US session.
The Australian dollar also posted gains while winning against the Kiwi, while the Canadian dollar continued to rise against the dollar amid rising oil prices, with USD / CAD holding below 1.3300.
However, movements are limited, so it is too early to say whether the market is currently gaining momentum before FOMC. They are out later today, with Jerome Powell's statement Friday at Jackson Hole approaching.
At this stage, we have only accumulation of cash flows and positioning, and we expect markets to take a clear direction after the Federal Reserve's statements.
