During the event in Paris, which was to begin a long-awaited presentation of QLED, the company revealed a surprisingly unusual redesigned Samsung TV, different from all others so far. The new model is known simply as "The Frame". As seen in the photo on the left, it looks more like a picture frame than a typical TV.
The frame can be changed as desired with a different set of replaceable bezels. It can also be mounted on "Studio Stand", if you prefer not to hang on the wall. A special new "invisible connection" technology allows it to maintain its integrity of design. Instead of the usual cables that go from the bottom edge now are used external enclosures with an extremely thin, almost transparent cable that allows the installation of a wall without compromising its aesthetic vision.
Of course, all these efforts be made to look like a picture is pointless if the TV is off and looks like an empty black spot. That is why, in the set included "Art mode", which shows more than 100 digital works of art in 10 different categories. It can also be added and different color schemes and background.
"The Frame" will hit the market with 55- and 65-inch versions in the spring. At this time it is unclear whether their 4K screens will use the new QLED technology to Samsung, and how much it will cost.
