The US Securities and Exchange Commission again delayed the decision whether to approve the Bitcoin ETF, disappointing the crypto fans who have speculated that the commission will give green light to the proposed project by Cboe Global Markets.
The SEC has requested additional information from Cboe for the ETF listing of VanEck Associates and SolidX Partners. Bitcoin stays in positive territory, yesterday ending 10% growth even after the news.
This delay does not mean that the commission has reached a final decision on any of the issues and issues for the Bitcoin ETF. The Agency also raises other issues related to the functioning of a digital exchange-traded fund such as: the risks of manipulation, sufficient liquidity and a supervisory mechanism.
There was speculation for hours and a lot of noise to the ETF conference itself, Hester Peirce, and until the last moment the hopes were that she would announce the long-awaited news in her statement. This noise helped drive the rally on Monday, which led to a 17% appreciation in the price of the digital currency.
