SoftBank has announced its second mega fund to invest in technology companies operating in the field of artificial intelligence around the world.
The new SoftBank Vision Fund 2 will be worth $ 108 billion, the sum being co-collected by re-investment, Japanese conglomerates and other partners. SoftBank only plans to contribute to the $ 38 billion fund.
Some of the companies that will participate in the new Vision Fund 2 are Apple, Microsoft, Foxconn, Standard Chartered Bank, Mizuho Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and MUFG Bank. SoftBank shares rose 0.59% at the start of the Asian session.
