Stocks end session higher with Dow stocks leading the way

The Dow industrial average is closing higher by 108 points or 0.44% at 24748.73. That index led the way in what was an up and down session

Below are the closing levels for the major indices:
Dow industrial average +108 points or +0.44% at 24,748.73. The high reached 24,750.73 while the low extended to 24,416.03
The S&P index closed up 8.66 points or 0.32% at 2682.11. The high reached 2682.53, while the low extended to 2655.89
The Nasdaq index closed near unchanged levels at 7082.69. It's high reached 7105.14 while the low extended to 7014.36.
The S&P index closed above the end of your closing level at 2673.61. So the index is back in the black for the year.

The Dow also moved back into positive territory for the year. It closed 2017 at 24,719.22.

The Nasdaq fell below its 2017 closing level last week at 6,903.38 for one day, but has been above the level since then.
