Nasdaq down -0.6% now.
The US stocks are trading to new session lows with the S&P and Nasdaq giving up their gains. The Dow is still holding on to a small gain.
Below is a snapshot of the major stock indices in Europe (closes) and the North America. Let's just say, there were better levels today. The buying dried up.
Taking a look at the forex market, the snapshot of the strongest and weakest is now showing the AUD and NZD are the strongest. The GBP which was the strongest at the start of the NY session, has come back lower with the largest gain vs the JPY. The JPY is the weakest currency now. Typically, when the stocks go lower, the JPY is the strongest and the AUD and NZD are weaker. So today is a bit funky (at least to what is normal and at least at the moment).
Changes of the major pairs vs the USD are mostly back near the closes from yesterday with the exception of the USDJPY which is higher by 35 pips and near the highs. The ranges today are modest compared to the 22 day averages (about a month of trading). Not a lot of conviction at the moment.
