After lagging behind U.S. peers for most of 2018, European stocks have finally caught up.
The Stoxx 600 Index and the S&P 500 Index are now posting similar levels of gains for the year as the European index found new strength in a solid earnings season and a weaker euro.
Equity strategists are predicting more gains for the Stoxx 600, saying the gauge is set to surpass its January peak before year-end.
