United States shares is in a new record today as investors staked on strong sales during the weekend. The SP500 climbed to $2602.50, with industry shares being the main driver of growth. The Nasdaq composite rose 0.3 percent to 6889.16 points after the strong increase in Amazon shares of 2.6 percent. Dow Jones rose 31 points to $23557.99, mainly due to the Visa shares, which reflected the record sales of goods online. According to Adobe Analytics, US users have spent over $1.52 billion. until 17:00 ET on Thursday only through online purchases. By comparison, this is about 35% more than last year.
