System at Barclays opens new opportunities for profitability

Bonds worth over $50 trillion, collected in indicies are now available for trading for a wide range of traders, using the Barclays Risk Analytics and Index Solutions business systems.

This gives greater transparency in use of buy and sell assets in fixed income, and multiple analysis capabilities. An additional plus is the ability to compare the profitability of these indices with widely used benchmark indices covering global markets containing multiple asset classes. These include more than 80,000 securities in more than 75 countries, in 36 different currencies.

The system of Barclays, will rank various indices, with 18 key indexes to their return and the number of participants in each index. Furthermore, you can see their characteristics and "Statistical Universe" indexes. Statistical Universe is a dynamic set of bonds, which change daily to reflect changing markets, that the indices measure. Their duration, spreads and other important statistics can also be viwed.
