Shares during the Asian trading session ended in a negative territory as Japanese stocks led the downs after Wall Street's strong sale.
The Nikkei 225 fell 1.12%, while Topix fell by 1.75%. In South Korea, Kospi traded lower at about 0.24%, and in Australia, ASX200 reported a 0.95% decrease.
Hang Seng Index fell 0.2%. Shanghai Composite at the same time lost 1.08% of its value.
On the FX market, the dollar traded at around 96,473, after it had reached a bottom of 94.41. The Japanese yen was highly preferred as a safe-currency currency and appreciated against the dollar to levels of around 111.39. The Australian dollar traded around 0.7112 after a turbulent session, marking a peak at 0.714.
