Trade in Asia ended in a mixed fashion as investors expect the second day of the US-China talks to start shortly.
Japan's Nikkei 225 rose by more than 0.5%, Topix by about 0.31%. In South Korea, Kospi was down by about 0.17%. In Australia, the ASX200 started trading with a downward trend, but then turned upward and climbed 0.4%. Shanghai Composite declined by about 0.3%, while Shenzhen ended in a negative territory of 0.36%. Shenzhen Composite finished with a decline of 0.41%.
The US dollar traded slightly higher at around 95,784. The Japanese yen traded around 108.56. The Australian dollar fell slightly down to 0.7136.
