The euro's swift ascent is getting noticed. European stocks are getting punished and we're banking on Draghi to say something. Mark Carney may have noticed the pound taking the brunt of it. Goldman's saying enough already, buy dollars. If you're tired of this game, note there are crypto-barbarians at the gate.
It's hard to be a populist party. Germany's AfD has realized, perhaps a bit late for this election, that right-wing xenophobia doesn't do much for women. Italy's communists, by contrast, are pushing for welfare for everybody, since it doesn't look like the jobs are coming back.
Being a billionaire is competitive. Europe's richest man is closing in on Bill Gates. Hui Ka Yan has made $9 billion in a week. Warren Buffett stands to make a bomb on his 2011 BofA investment, and Carl Icahn has done very well in Las Vegas property. That will be us one day, let's keep playing.
