There are rumors that Ferrari is preparing the premiere of a new sports coupe built on the basis of the Portofino convertible. It turned out to be true and the Italian company presented its latest model, named after the Italian capital - Roma.
Maranello states that the Roma model is both a tribute to the Eternal City and a departure for the 1960s. The design of the cabin should be reminiscent of the "dolly twisted" (sweet life) era, in which the iconic Ferrari models appeared, including the 250GT family (Berlinetta Lusso and 250GT 2 + 2).
The new coupe has retained a 3.9-liter V8 engine that produces 620hp. and 760 Nm, in which case it is combined with a new 8-speed robotic gearbox, developed by Ferrari. This transmission is 6 kg. lighter than the previous 7-speed automatic, with faster switching. The car's exhaust system is also new.
The weight of the Roma is 1472 kg, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h taking 3.4 seconds and up to 200 km / h - 9.3 seconds. The top speed is 320 km / h. For the first time, the Grand Tournament of Ferrari receives a 5-position Side Slip Control system. The car has an active rear spoiler integrated and a Dynamic Enhancer system that regulates braking performance depending on road conditions.
The interior has a whole new concept, as two separate capsules are made for the driver and his companion. Roma has a new steering wheel, a 16-inch dashboard (the media diagonal is 8.4 inches), and a special "comfortable access" feature. Thanks to her, the car does not need door handles. There is also an additional display for the passenger next to the driver.
You can watch the premiere today at 2:30 pm here!
