The president Obama wades into U.K. politics during his visit to London on Friday, taking sides in an intensifying debate by urging the British. to remain in the European Union.

Two months before U.K. to decide the future of their country’s membership in the European Union, President Obama will make the case for European cohesion, while also allowing that the final determination should be made by voters, according to White House.

U.S. leaders usually steer clear of intruding on foreign elections, but Barack Obama will voice his views on the prospect of a British exit, as polls show a virtual dead heat between the “stay” and “leave” campaigns.
