From the death of pioneering music Icon David Bowie in January to the loss of Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher today, the world of entertainment has lost some if its most adored figures in 2016. All year long, social media has lit up with heartbreaking tributes to some of the world's most legendary and inspiring figures, the artists, actors and comedians that defined their own generations. Just this week, perhaps the most famed music artist of the 80s, George Michael, died suddenly on Christmas Eve. Today, Watership Down writer Richard Adams passed away. Throughout the year we have also lost broadcasting icon Sir Terry Wogan, comedian Victoria Wood, and groundbreaking musician.
