Singapore topped the poll of the best places to live and work for immigrants, according to a study of 21.950 foreigners living in the world.
The study was commissioned by HSBC Expact and held for eight years. Asked were foreigners (people who no longer live in their country of origin) of their careers, the health of their families and their quality of life compared to life in their previous home.
More than a quarter of foreigners living in Singapore have been able to earn over $ 200,000 a year, compared with an average of 13 percent across the study. The city was seen as a strong economy offers better career, 67 per cent said that Singapore also offers better quality of life than when they came.
Thirty-nine countries included in the ranking, with Singapore came out on top in reconciling work and life, but other countries also performed well in the rankings.
Sweden was ranked as the best place to live for families (79 percent of parents say the quality of life of their children has improved, having moved there), while Switzerland topped career aimed at foreigners: 77 percent feel safe in the Swiss economy.
