Turkish lira traders are reacting positively to news that President Erdogan is calling a meeting of economy officials, perhaps on speculation he will take action to support the currency. The negative spiral in the TRY ahead of next month's elections will not impress voters. It may be time for more measures as Turkey's bigger-than-expected rate hike last month wasn't enough to stem the slide in the lira, which is facing more headwinds from a strengthening dollar.
