At the joint press conference of Donald Trump and Shinzo Abe, the US president said a meeting between him and North Korean leader Kim Chen Un will be in the coming weeks.
However, Trump has made it clear that the maximum pressure campaign will continue until the Communist Party proves that it has completely abandoned its nuclear weapons. Trump has expressed his hopes for close cooperation with Japan on the issue.
On trade rates, Trump and Abe will most likely reach an agreement that will lead to a bilateral deal.
But there was no market reaction ... It seems that geopolitical turmoil dominates the market and until there is real progress on the issue of denuclearization or suppression of tension in Syria. JPY will not give way.
