U.S. stocks failed to maintain their share of the world’s equity markets this year even though they sustained a record-setting advance. The U.S. fell below 35 percent of market value last week from a peak of 38.3 percent in December, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Larger gains overseas and a falling dollar explain the shift, according to Bespoke Investment Group LLC, which cited the move in a blog posting Wednesday.
