US stock index future pointed to a higher open on Monday. Traders expect the decision for higher interest rates, as well as earnings from a several companies.
Restaurant Brands International, Teva Pharma and First Data will publish their earnings before the start of the US markets session. After the closing bell we expect earnings data from Arch Capital Group, Noble Energy, Vornado Realty and OneMain Holdings.
There are no major economic data releases scheduled on Monday.
European Stoxx-600 index rose by 0.57 percent on Monday. In Asia, China's Shanghai Composite closed by 0.64% higher, while Japan's Nikkei rose by 0.41%.
In oil markets prices were slightly lower on Monday after bloated inventories appeared to concern investors, however, losses were limited after encouraging signs that OPEC and other exporters would be able to adhere to their landmark deal and reduce global oversupply.
