US stocks are rising to new highs following positive US rhetoric that China is very close to a partial trading deal. The US dollar continues to lose ground.
The S & P500 advances to new records, recording its sixth consecutive weekly increase. This is the longest winning streak of two years. Larry Kudlow said negotiations between the two countries are in their final stages. Sensitive actions to the trade war lead the rally.
Yields on 10-year bonds fell to 1.80% and the US dollar fell for the second consecutive day after mixed retail sales data and weak production order data. The yen along with gold continue to recede.
The euro remains strong today with an increase of nearly 0.2%, the British pound also rising 0.2%.
WTI rises by about 0.1% and gold is down 0.4%.
