The futures for the US indices indicate a higher open today. The European stocks were trading lower for the most of the trading session. As the indices so far were trading in a tight range in Europe, we expect a higher volatility during the US session. The Building Permits came in higher than expected and that is a positive for the indices. Also awaiting Crude Oil Inventories and BOC rate decision for Canada.
Investors will be looking for financial results from American Express and Ebay today. Morgan Stanley easily beat expectation with excellent financial results, but most companies did not have good retults so far and that is negative for the indices. The US dollar continue to be under pressure, without andy big moves. Germany continue to defend its position and Merkel said that there is no easy way out from the EU for the UK and the GBP fell. Gold broke up from the recent trading range.
We expect speeches from FED's - Williams, Harker и Kaplan.
