U.S. stock index futures opened lower on Tuesday could finally break the Dow's winning streak, as investors await a key speech by President Donald Trump tonight.
Markets registered an increase during the previous session. Dow Jones and S & P500 hit new daily highs. The Dow rose by 15 points, closing at a record high for the 12th consecutive session, the longest winning streak since 1987.
Investors are awaiting a speech by the President during the Congress tonight. It is expected to discuss its bigger plans for protection and stimulus spending. Also expected to talk about tax reform.
Data on US GDP came in worse than expected, which may lead to a decline in the greenback.
