U.S. stock index futures pointed to a higher on Thursday because of the expected earnings reports, and chairmen of the Federal Reserve speech.
There will be earning reports from Coca-Cola, Twitter, Kellogg and Viacom before market opening. Activision Blizzard, Expedia, News Corp., Western Union and Yelp will show reports after the end of US market session.
Initial jobless claims data pointed to 234 000, lower than expected 250,000, which is positive for the US dollar.
We also expect data for Wholesale Inventories (MoM) (Dec) from 17:00h BG time.
The presidents of the Fed James Bullard and Charles Evans will speak respectively at 16:10h and 20:10h.
European European Stoxx 600 index was about 0.53 percent higher on Thursday.
