US stocks will be closed on Wednesday honoring the death of George H. W. Bush

George H. W. Bush died on Saturday at the age of 94.

The US markets have traditionally been closed after the death of a president. The last such case was Gerald Ford in 2007.

Trump will determine Wednesday December 5 as a day of national mourning and the US stock market will close. SIFMA has not yet confirmed whether this will be the case with the bond market.
