Young entrepreneurs are shaking-up the financial services sector.

Matthew Humphrey, 29, is a serial entrepreneur who has already sold a business for $100 million at age 24. He is currently the CEO and founder of LendingHome, which has raised more than $100 million in venture capital funds and lent out nearly $1 billion. Humphrey’s company, which  has 240 employees, uses proprietary risk scores to extend credit to non-traditional borrowers who have already repaid $400 million of principal with virtually no realized losses. Humphrey matriculated to Carnegie Mell on to study computer science at the age of 13.

Some of the brightest minds in finance are betting that Richard Craib will create the next great quant hedge fund. At 29, Craib is the founder and CEO of Numerai, an open source quant code developer.

Kelly Wannop, 29, is an associate at the Blackstone Group, the world’s biggest private equity firm. A private equity investor focusing on financial and consumer retail sectors, Wannnop sits on the boards of mortgage lender Stearns and auto lender Exeter Financial.
