What to expect from the Asian Session today

The markets in Asia are expected to open higher and to continue to go higher after the strong close on Wall Street. Indices reached new highs this year and are reaching last year highs now at strong resistance levels.

The price of Oil holds its positions around and above $41 per barrel. Its price has been supported by the weak dollar and due to the continuation of the strikes in Kuwait, which has the potential to decrease its production by 50% of the country and this also supports the indices. The US dollar remains broadly weak, but weakest against the Yen and AUD and NZD. Gold price increased partly due to the weak dollar.

The economic calendar is very weak and risk on sentiment is likely to continue.

AUD index ASX 200 is up by 0.6% at 5,212 and the Nikkei futures are up 0.12% at 17,085.
