European markets are expected to open lower after Asian trading was mixed overnight.

The British UK100 will open by 15 points lower on the last day of trading before the Easter break at 7,334. In Germany, the Dax is called 32 points down at 12,123 while in France the CAC is seen 14 points lower at 5,087.

Comments made by US President Donald Trump to the Wall Street Journal hit Tokyo trading.

Prices of the black stuff retreated as concerns re-emerged about potential oversupply from the US. Brent crude fell five cents to $55.81 a barrel.
