Going to the moon is no longer the ultimate dream for many children in America today.
They prefer to become prostitutes or YouTubers instead. With a study of 3,000 children in the United States, the United Kingdom and China asking the simple question - what do you want to grow up with, giving them 5 options - a YouTuber, a teacher, a professional athlete, a musician or an astronaut.
In the US and UK, YouLuber / YouTuber is the most popular choice (29% and 30%, respectively); astronaut, at the same time, was the least preferred option (11%). In China, this trend is reversed, with more than half of the respondents responding to the astronaut (56%).
The reason for this huge difference is unclear.
Maybe because the Americans were already in space. Or maybe because in China, the education system places more value and value on science and space exploration.
It seems that American children prefer to be known instead of exploring our universe - although the latter also comes with its glory.
