If we don't see quick move in the opposite direction up, it is possible that Gold would likely reach $1,400. First it must clear the resistance at $1,300 and then it might reach the next target. The fall of the S&P 500 would support the rise of the metal.
The risk for Gold remains if the USD rises and the volatility to remain low. In this situation, with the VIX index at one of its lowest points, it seems that investors continue to seek out and buy Gold.
