Money managers are slashing bullish bets on copper, adding to signs of headwinds for the metal after its best year since 2010. Hedge funds and other large speculators have reduced their net-long copper position in futures and options by 46 percent since early January, marking the biggest three-week slide since October 2016, U.S. government data released Friday showed. The drop comes as global copper stockpiles have risen for nine straight days, the longest run in almost three years.
