Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country has more than half a ton of documents proving that Tehran is implementing a secret program to build nuclear bombs, which made Donald Trump suggest that the US would withdraw from the Iranian agreement.
"Iran is lying that there will never be a nuclear weapons program," Prime Minister Netanyahu said at a press conference at the Tel Aviv government alliance. "After signing the nuclear deal in 2015, Iran has stepped up its efforts to hide its nuclear files," he said.
Israel has opened 55,000 pages of material for a weapons program that runs between 1999 and 2003, codenamed "Project Amad," said Netanyahu. He said the nuclear program continued after it had been activated under a different name. Iran has taken steps since last year to move its files to a hidden place in order to continue the program.
